Anyone else start singing Eve when they read the title?  Maybe I'm alone haha.

Hi Guys!  Thanks for checking out my blog.  I thought my first post should be a little introduction.  My name is Jen, and I am the creator of Fashion + Curves.  I've wanted to start a plus size blog for quite some time now, and I thought the new year was the perfect time to start.  I live in NYC and work in the apparel industry.  Fashion has always been a huge part of my life.  I've always loved clothes, and being a curvier girl finding on trend pieces wasn't always easy.  Let's just say the apparel industry has come a long way, but they still have a long way to go.  Fashion + Curves is a forum for me to share my personal style with you.  I want this to be the place that gives you inspiration to try new looks or pair different options together from your own wardrobe.  Let's face it, you and I  don't have an endless closet...or budget.  This blog is meant to use pieces you already own and style them in a new and interesting way.  Having classic pieces as a base is always key. You will see that my favorite things to buy are accessories.  Accessories can take a basic outfit and turn it into something really special.

The statement piece of this outfit is this fabulous necklace.  Let's just say Baublebar and I kind of have a love affair because I can't stay away from their jewelry.  I literally own this necklace in 4 different colors which you will definitely be seeing in future posts.

I've paired the necklace  with a vibrant royal blue chiffon top from Lane Bryant, some ripped jeans and some low key tan flats.  I really wanted the necklace to be the showcase of this outfit.

Some brightly colored bracelets add another color pop element.

Here is a huge tip ladies.  Your makeup can be just as big of a part of your outfit as your clothes.  Adding a pop of color on the lips is a really affordable way to change the look of something you've already worn before.  Below I added Heroin by Mac and it gives the outfit a very different vibe.
