Not Your Uptown Girl
I wanted to do a casual but downtown chic post. I love outfits like this because you can wear it during the day or night. I could wear this on a day of shopping or to a bar. I'm channeling my inner "lower east side girl", who by the way is way cooler than me! I think I did it justice though!
I am wearing a super comfy garment washed tee from Forever 21. This tee has trendy cut out details on the back. The back of this tee elevates this piece to be a little more than basic and gives a little visual interest. You can totally wear this with nothing underneath, but I chose to wear a bandeau to keep it more conservative. I paired this top with some faded ankle jeans and a pair of patent leather nude pumps. I really like the nude shoes with this outfit. I think black would have been a little too harsh. I chose a long pendent necklace from Forever 21 to accessorize. I feel so downtown in this look. If your from NY you'll know what I mean. Downtown has a certain level of fashion and a "I don't give a damn" attitude. I think this outfit conveys that successfully!
