Jumping for Culottes

I was eyeing this jumpsuit from Lane Bryant for quite some time.  By the time I wanted to take the plunge it was completely sold out.  I needed to go to Lane Bryant for something unrelated, and they had stock on this amazing jumpsuit in every size!  You already know I ran straight to the dressing room to try this on!

****Side Note-Can we discuss how culottes are back?!?  That is one trend I never thought I would see again.  Shockingly enough I am loving them!****

This jumpsuit is everything!  I am 5'1 so I needed to get this tailored for the look I wanted.  When I tried this on the legs ended right above my ankle and the top was so loose.  I wanted this to be a versatile piece.  When I got this tailored I had them shorten the bottom, pull up the shoulders and sew the bust closed.  It was showing just a little too much skin for me to be comfortable.  Now I am able to wear this for a night out, or to work without needing a camisole underneath.  In the summer, the less layers the better.

Since this jumpsuit is the showpiece I wanted to keep everything else pretty simple.  I paired this piece with some patent leather black pumps.  Nothing elongates your leg and makes it look sexier than a pump.  They should be a staple in anyone's wardrobe.  As for accessories, I paired this look with a simple gold collar style necklace, and a black clutch with gold detailing.  This look is so chic and fashion forward.  I get so excited when I see statement pieces like this!
