Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Navy Polkadot...Skirt?

I want to start out by saying thank you guys for sticking  by my side.  I was so exhausted during my pregnancy and had no motivation to blog or take pictures.  My son was born in February and I am just getting back to feeling like myself.... Thank GOD!  You can expect to see posts regularly now.  Again thank you and I appreciate all the support.!

Now on to the post!

While I was pregnant Society + sent me this gorgeous skirt to try on.  I have followed Society + on Instagram for a long time, but never got around to purchasing their clothing.   I find that a lot of the plus size sites produce cheaper quality clothing then what I like.  I pretty much lumped them in this category without ever trying them.  I am a young? professional woman who likes quality clothing.  Most times I want something on trend that will last.  To say I was totally wrong about Society + is an understatement.  While I've only tried this skirt and a top, so far I was way off base!

I absolutely love how this skirt looks and feels.  There is a definite weight to this skirt because it is lined.  Again, I said the skirt is LINED which is something that I don't see much anymore.  You can equate lining to quality.  The extra step to ensure a beautiful drape was the perfect touch.  I look for a couple things when trying on midi skirts.  Weight, length and waistline. Weight is important because I don't want to walk through the streets of New York holding my skirt because it will fly up. Length is important because I am hour glass shaped.  A lot of times if a skirt is to short it will hike up in the back.  Lastly, a waistline with elastic is bae.  I generally size down in midi skirts because I wear them higher on my waist.  I like to be cinched in to give me that snatched waistline.  This skirt hit all 3 of my requirements and I couldn't be happier!  Good job Society +

I paired this skirt with a cream crop top I had in my closet from F21.  I didn't accessorize to much because I really like the skirt as the focal point.  I wore my nude heels and added a pop of color with a red lip.  This look is giving me rockabilly vibes.

Let me know what you guys think!  Make sure to comment below and please subscribe :)

XoXo,

Jen
