Let's talk about- Heels

Ahh high heels.  They are so beautiful on the foot, and seem to polish any look.  Of course I would love to be the "real woman" who wears heels everyday, but let's get real they hurt.  They hurt for us more than anyone else. Let's think about this logically.  More weight = more pressure.  Pressure = Pain.

Through trial and error I have finally found that 3 inches is my perfect heel height.  Heels that are mid height allow me to walk around all day without my feet hurting.  Also, the make of the shoe has a lot to do with comfort as well.  For the most part, I only buy real leather heels.  Real leather molds to your foot making the wear more tolerable than synthetic.  

Another thing to note is platform.  If the shoe has a platform front I can go higher.  The height of the front platform cancels out from the back heel. These heels tend to look much more daring and risque.  The truth is, if you find the right platform to heel ratio they can be just as comfortable as any lower heel.  Of course these types of heels have a time and a place, but I love that I can be comfortable and still gain height.  I'm only 5'1" so any additional height is welcomed!

Overall heels will never be as comfortable as sneakers, they aren't meant to be .  The key is to find what works for you and your life.  I'm not walking down the catwalk for 2 mins, I'm roaming the hard concrete streets of NYC everyday which takes a toll on your feet.  Any heel that can endure that I call a keeper!
